Clamping (at appr. 400V) IGBT for genboard v3.2.
Max 2 can be mounted on one board (bottom side, near EC18 connector). Only DPAK footprint (FET or IGBT) can be mounted on their pads (called extra-FETs), so having these small but powerful DPAK items in the drawer provides wonderful possibility for extending board functionality whenever necessary. It can control (or switch power for) other electric devices too (eg. boostcontrol solenoid).
Recommended for max 8A peak, 2A continuous current, depending on cooling: this is considerably less current than the case-clamped TO220 FETs. Most often ISL 9V2040 D3S (TO252AA) type is shipped actually.
